Abiding in Truth is like building a fire within us that burns all things unholy and impure from our lives and like a hammer that destroys every demonic stronghold, setting our souls free.
Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Sanctification only comes by constant exposure to truth.
John 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Abiding in God’s word is what causes us to know the truth that sets us free. Not abiding in the teachings of men, in books about the Bible, or watching and listening to sermons about the Bible, but you personally abiding in the written word of God for yourself.
