What is Truth Pressure?

In 1996, I had a revelation from Joshua 1:8 that if I put God’s word in my mouth as Joshua did, I would prosper in my pursuit of God and have good success. So I wrote down scriptures that pertained to my identity in Christ and the promises of God that are rightfully ours through Jesus’ blood sacrifice.

As I was reading and speaking these scriptures over myself, trying to build a vision in my own heart about who I am in Him and what I have as a new covenant believer, the Lord interrupted me and said, “What are you doing, Jack?” I replied, “I am speaking your word over my life, Lord.” He said, “You are applying Truth Pressure.” And He stopped talking.

I had never heard that particular phrase before, but I took that as a sure confirmation that what I was doing was biblical. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what Truth Pressure was and how it affects believers, but it changed the trajectory of my life and ministry.

Two words. TRUTH, and PRESSURE. I used to think that speaking God’s word in any way or in any amount was a definition of Truth Pressure, but until recently, I realized that is not the case. You see, when He spoke that to me, I had eight pages of biblical declarations that I would speak and pray over my life DAILY! And it is the DAILY proclamation of truth that makes it TRUTH PRESSURE. Speaking the word is always good, but it is the daily declaring and praying of God’s word that causes us to make our way prosperous and have good success.

Joshua 1:8-9 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Truth Pressure can be defined as this:

The Relentless, Intentional, Daily Application of Truth that Defines Hope, Strengthens Faith, and Brings Divine Cooperation between God and Man.

A few years after that encounter, I was asking God about faith and hope, and how they were connected. He said these words to me: “Hope is a picture that I paint on man’s heart with brush strokes of revelation.”

I didn’t have to think twice to know that didn’t come from my thoughts. I had never heard that before. I didn’t realize at the time, but He was further defining Truth Pressure.

Hope is our spiritual imagination, our spiritual womb. When our hope is clearly defined, our faith then has the ability to bring substance and evidence to the things we are hoping for. If our hope isn’t clearly defined by revelation from God’s word, our faith has nothing clear to bring substance and evidence to. With that in mind, we need to also understand that we use our faith to clarify our image of hope. And this is what Truth Pressure is all about.

Andrew Wommack’s teachings on the power of imagination are what helped put everything into proper perspective for me. You can access his website by clicking on his name, or you can go directly to one of his teachings on The Power of Imagination here.

This is my personalized prayer of declaration and agreement with God that I use daily to bring myself into alignment with His thoughts, define my hope, strengthen my faith, and bring me to a place of Divine Cooperation with the truth of God’s word. Pray it out loud and meditate on the words coming out of your mouth. It will change your life!

Job 22:28 Lord, when I speak and pray Your word, I set myself in complete agreement with You. Your eternal truth is established in me; it becomes a part of me, shaping me, changing me, and strengthening me. It causes light to shine on my way, making my vision, my hope, and my path crystal clear.

Joshua 1:8, John 1:14 Father, your word will not depart from my mouth, but I will meditate on it day and night, that I may believe and do everything that is written in it. When I speak your word and meditate on your word Lord, I become your word. Your word is becoming flesh in my life. I will make my way prosperous, and I will have good success.

Mark 11:23, Proverbs 18:20-21 Father, because of the authority that You have given me, I speak to things and situations, and they obey me. I believe in my heart that the things I say will be done. My words have tremendous authority and power. Death and Life are in the power of my tongue. I steward that power wisely. I use that power to change situations, to help people, to defeat the enemy, to strengthen and establish my hope, and to give You glory. Thank you for giving me the authority to speak on Your behalf. I don’t take this responsibility lightly. I use this authority in the fear and reverence of Your great name.

Proverbs 21:23, Psalm 141:3, James 1:26 I guard my mouth and bridle my tongue, and I keep my soul from trouble. Father, I ask You to set a guard over my mouth and keep watch over the door of my lips.

Ephesians 4:29, Psalm 39:1, Psalm 12:6 I will let no corrupt communication or ungodly words come out of my mouth, but only what is good for necessary edification, that it may minister life and impart your grace to the hearers. I guard my ways, Lord, lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle while the wicked are before me. Your word is pure, like silver tried in a furnace, and purified seven times. I am committed to speaking your word.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Romans 5:5, Mark 12:30-31 Father, because your love has been poured out into my heart, I am patient and kind. I do not envy or boast, and I am not prideful. I do not dishonor others, I am not self-seeking, I am not easily angered, and I keep no record of a suffered wrong. I do not take pleasure in evil, but I rejoice in your truth. I believe the best of every person. I see them for their created value. I see them as your child, and I see them for their potential. I always protect, I always trust, I always hope, and persevere. I never fail, I never stop believing, and I never stop loving. I love you, Lord, with all of my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind and all my strength, and I love my neighbor as myself.

Galatians 5:16-18, Galatians 2:16, 1 Corinthians 15:56-57  I walk in the Spirit, and I do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. I am led by the Holy Spirit, and I am not under the righteous requirements of the law.

1 Peter 1: 13-21, Ephesians 6:14 I gird up the loins of my mind with your word Father. I put on truth like a piece of armor. I am sober, and my hope rests fully upon You and the grace that is mine in Christ Jesus. I am an obedient child, Father. I am not conformed to former lusts or my former way of life. I am holy in my conduct as you are holy. I walk in the fear of the Lord.

John 16:13, Colossians 1:9, Acts 1:8 The Spirit of truth is living in me, guiding me into all truth and showing me things to come. I have perfect knowledge of what to do in every situation, and I am filled with all wisdom, discernment, spiritual understanding, and the knowledge of your will for me, Lord. I have received power because the Holy Spirit has come upon me, and I am a witness for Jesus to the end of the Earth.

Psalm 112:1-7 I am blessed because you have taught me the fear of the Lord, and I delight greatly in your Word.  My descendants are mighty on the Earth, and they are blessed. Wealth and riches are in my house, and my righteousness endures forever. I am gracious and full of compassion. I guide my affairs with discretion. I will never be shaken. I am not afraid of evil tidings, and I am not moved by bad reports. My heart is steadfast, trusting in you, Lord.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against me will ever prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I will condemn. This is my heritage as your child, and my righteousness is from you, Lord.

Philippians 4:6-9 I refuse to worry or get anxious over anything, but in everything through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving I make my requests known to you Father, and your peace that surpasses all understanding goes before me, preparing my way, keeping and guarding my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Lord, I make a conscious decision to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. If there is any virtue or praise, I think about these things. I guard my mind against all doubt and all negative and faithless thoughts. I am a doer of your word, Lord, and your peace abides with me.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Proverbs 4:23 Father, I live and walk in a physical body, but I do not fight against people. The weapons of my warfare are not physical, not carnal, but they are mighty in You for the pulling down of strongholds. So, I cast down every argument and every imagination of the heart that would exalt itself against the knowledge of You and your word. I take every thought captive and bring them into the obedience of Christ. I guard my heart with all diligence because that is where You dwell Lord, and out of my heart flows your light, your power, and your life.

Matthew 10: 7-8, Mark 16:17-18, verse 20, Ephesians 6:10-18. The kingdom of God is at hand.  So, according to your command, I go about healing the sick, setting captives free, casting out devils, and raising people from the dead. Freely I have received, and so freely I give.  I am a believer, and in Jesus’ name, I cast out devils; I speak with new tongues. If I touch or consume any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt me. I lay hands on the sick, and they recover.

Philippians 4:19, Romans 8:28 There is no lack in my life, Lord, for you supply all my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I love you, Lord, and I am called according to your purpose. All things work together for my good. Everything always works out for me.

Psalm 103: 2-5, 1 Peter 2:24 Jesus bore my sins on the cross and paid the full price for my complete redemption; therefore, I am dead to sin, I live unto righteousness, and by His stripes I am now healed. Thank you, Lord, for saving me and healing me! Lord, thank you for forgiving all my iniquities and for healing all my diseases; Thank You for redeeming my life from destruction, for satisfying my mouth with good things so that my youth is constantly being renewed.

Romans 8:11 The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in me. Resurrection power lives in me. Father, just as You raised Christ from the dead, I thank You for also giving life to my physical body through the Holy Spirit living in me.

Isaiah 54:14, Romans 10:3-4, Romans 5:17  I thank you Lord, that I am established in righteousness. I completely submit to your righteousness. I am far from oppression, I do not fear, and terror shall not come near me. I have received an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, and therefore I reign as a king in this life by Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:1-2 I trust in you, Lord, with all of my heart and do not lean on my limited understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge You, and I trust You to direct my path. Because I have been resurrected with Christ, I seek the things which are from above, where Christ is, sitting at your right hand. I set my mind and my affections on things above, eternal things, not on the things of this Earth.

Proverbs 3:9-10 I honor you, Lord, with my possessions, and I overflow with material and spiritual blessings. Thank you, Lord!

Psalm 23:4 I fear no evil for you are with me Lord; your corrections and instruction comfort me. Your Word and your Spirit guide me. Thank you for fathering me. Thank You for loving me, thank You for protecting me and treating me as your precious child.

Galatians 2:20, Romans 12:1-3  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loves me, and gave himself for me. Father, I present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, which is my reasonable response and my humble act of worship. I am not conformed to the pressures of this world, but I am transformed by the constant renewing of my mind to your Word and your ways. I do not think too highly of myself, but I think soberly according to the measure of faith that you have given me.

Isaiah 54:13, Isaiah 8:18, Isaiah 59:21, Psalm 3:3, Psalm 8:9. All of my children are taught of You, Lord, and great is their peace. Father, myself, my spouse, and the children You have given us are for signs and wonders. Your Spirit is upon me, and your words will not depart from my mouth, nor out of the mouth of my children, nor out of the mouth of my grandchildren. Lord, you are a shield for me, You are the glory and the lifter of my head. How excellent is your name in all the Earth.

Psalm 9:1-3, Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to your name. I praise You, Father, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, and my soul knows that very well.

Psalm 13:5-6, 1 Samuel 2:1-2, Psalm 18:2 Father, I trust in Your mercy, and I will sing praises to your great name because You have dealt bountifully with me. No one is holy like You, Lord. There is none besides You, nor is there any rock like You. You are my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in You alone I trust. You are my shield, my salvation, and my stronghold. I will praise You forevermore.

Psalm 19:7-9 Lord, your word is perfect, converting my soul; Your testimonies are sure, making me wise; Your statutes are right, rejoicing my heart; Your commandments are pure, enlightening my eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; Your judgments Father, are true and righteous altogether.

Psalm 23 Lord, You are my shepherd and I do not want for anything. You make me to lie down in green pastures, You lead me beside the still waters, and You restore my soul. You lead me in the paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, For You are with me, your correction comforts me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, You anoint my head with oil and my cup runs over. Goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell with You forever.

Psalm 25:4-6 Show me your ways, Father; Teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation. I wait on You patiently all day, Lord, I remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness towards me, for they are very precious to me.

Exodus 15:2, Psalm 27:1, Psalm 28:7 Lord, You are the strength of my life. You are my salvation; You are my God, and I will praise You forevermore. Who shall I fear Lord? You are the strength of my life; Of whom should I be afraid? Lord, You are my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in You, my heart greatly rejoices, and with my life I will praise You. You are my strength, my King, my God! I love you Lord!

Psalm 31:19, Psalm 34:1-2 Oh, how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! I will bless you, Lord, at all times; Your praise will continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in you, Lord.

Psalm 91:9-16 I have made You my refuge, You are my dwelling place. No evil will befall me, nor shall any sickness, plague, or disease come near my dwelling; I trample upon every power of the enemy. Satan and all his works are under my feet because You have set Your great love upon Me. Father, I thank you for giving your angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. They bear me up in their hands lest I dash my foot against a stone. I walk through places that would kill natural people, but I live supernaturally in Christ. You have set me in a high and safe place because I know You. When I call upon You, You answer. You are with me in times of trouble; I thank you Lord for delivering me and honoring me. Thank you for satisfying me with long life and saving me.

Romans 4:20-21 I do not waver at your amazing promises Lord, but I am strengthened in faith through the power of your word, giving glory to You, and being fully convinced that what You have promised me You are also able to perform.

Psalm 73:25-26, Genesis 15:1, Hebrews 11:6. There is nothing I desire besides you, Lord. I believe You, and I am diligently seeking You. You are my exceedingly great reward.

In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
